Director of Sustainability - Six Senses Crans-Montana
As Director of Sustainability , I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness.
Sustainability, Wellness and Out of the Ordinary experiences are at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. I will safeguard these pillars and ensure full knowledge and active participation of all our brand initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
As Director of Sustainability , I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
Oversight and continuous improvement of Sustainable Operations as per internal Sustainability Guidelines, with the goal of maximising resource efficiency, and reducing carbon footprint.
Management of the Sustainability Fund, managing its finances and quantifying impact. Continuous management of these relationships and selection of projects based on impact.
Management of the Earth Lab, bringing sustainability to life through workshops and related- guest experiences.
Conducting of the annual Sustainability Audit, Plastic Audit, Food Mile Audit, & Waste Audit
Training of hosts on all matters pertaining to Sustainability: Orientation, Mandatory Trainings, Reorientation, Department specific trainings
Assume the role of a leader of the property, instilling core brand pillars within the establishment.
Create bonds with hosts such that sustainability is authentically felt throughout.
Management of Sustainability team, with heavy involvement in Stewarding, Landscaping, & Experiences team
Planning and Hosting of UN Sustainability Days (Earth Day, International Bee Day, etc), for internal and external activation
Management & Continuous Improvement of Waste Management Program
Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Sustainability Director, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year experience in a similar hotel operational setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms. I have excellent knowledge of guest related functions and guest service.
